Afghanistan  - Under Taliban rule, women in Afghanistan face extensive restrictions, including prohibitions against attending secondary schools and universities, strict limitations on employment, and severe restrictions on freedom of movement. Laws imposed by the Taliban ban women from traveling long distances without male guardians, prohibit access to public parks, gyms, and social gatherings, and enforce strict dress codes mandating full coverage. Women are largely excluded from public life and face harsh punishments for violating these rules.

Despite enforcing severe restrictions on Afghan women’s freedoms, the Taliban recently welcomed U.S. adult film actress Whitney Wright into their country with open arms.

The incident has intensified criticism, with many pointing out the Taliban’s contradictory attitudes towards women. Observers argue that the group's embrace of Wright underscores a glaring hypocrisy—harshly restricting Afghan women’s freedoms while appearing to condone behavior by a foreign visitor that clearly violates their professed conservative values.

Despite promoting strict codes of modesty and chastity—often enforced through restrictions aimed specifically at women because of their sex—there remains a notable contradiction among some Muslim men regarding pornography. Publicly, many Muslim men advocate for conservative moral standards, imposing severe limitations on women based solely on their biological sex.

Privately, however, consumption of pornography persists, revealing a stark double standard. This discrepancy highlights broader societal hypocrisy, where stringent moral expectations imposed on women due to their sex coexist alongside men’s private consumption of sexually explicit materials, fueling critical discussions about gender-based inequalities and the treatment of women within these communities.

The restrictive laws imposed on women, the double standards in morality, and the prioritization of male desires over female autonomy expose a system designed to benefit men at the expense of women. The consistent oppression, lack of rights, and enforced submission make it clear why women should reject Islam as it offers them nothing but limitations, while granting men unchecked power and privilege.
