The Stepping Razor is a Feminist Media network that was founded in New York City in August 2024 with a mission to spotlight the struggles of women and girls throughout the world. After a year of facing bans and censorship on various social media platforms, we transformed our vibrant Discord community of more than 400 women into a Radical Feminist MEDIA NETWORK to produce bold, authentic content that sparks dialogue and fuels advocacy. In our Discord space, we shared stories and articles we had written and submitted to other feminist publications that were ultimately rejected, which inspired us to create our platform. As a Radical Feminist Media Network, The Stepping Razor is dedicated to centering feminist perspectives, amplifying women’s voices, and challenging the systems of inequality that shape society. 
Rooted in the storytelling traditions of New York, our contributors bring diverse talents, educational backgrounds, and a shared commitment to journalism that prioritizes women. We reject the current trend of erasing women’s contributions to their liberation, focusing instead on illuminating truths, disrupting patriarchal narratives, and empowering women through media designed specifically for them.
Our site stands proudly independent, with no financial corporate backing or connections to influential networks. Instead, it is fully supported by our dedicated team of contributors, who juggle full-time jobs and family responsibilities while creating content for women purely out of passion and the fulfillment it brings.   • Marsh (Edi) Baptise

    Marsh (Edi) Baptist, also known as “Edi,” is a feminist journalist by night and a skilled (full-time) Skip Tracer by day. Raised on Gunhill Road in the Bronx, NY, Edi's love for women fuels her passion for writing about issues that affect them. Her strong journalistic expression stems from the injustices that she witnessed while working with women throughout the city.

  • Marie O’Nealle

    Marie O’ Nealle, originally from Pennsylvania and now living in Forest Hill, Queens, New York, is a feminist writer and advocate for women who have suffered abuse while homeless.

  • Sharnellia Bennett-Smith

    Sharnellia Bennett-Smith, born and raised in Staten Island, New York, enjoys writing about women’s issues and the dangers of trans ideology.
