Milwaukee, WI — Maxwell Anderson was found guilty on June 6, 2025, for the murder and dismemberment of 19-year-old Sade Robinson. The jury returned the verdict after less than one hour of deliberation, convicting Anderson of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse, and arson.
Robinson met Anderson on April 1, 2024, for a first date. The two were seen on surveillance footage visiting bars before returning to Anderson’s apartment. That night, prosecutors say Anderson killed Robinson, dismembered her body, and attempted to destroy evidence. Her burned-out vehicle was discovered the next day, and her remains were later found in various locations across Milwaukee County and beyond.
Evidence presented during the nine-day trial included Anderson’s internet search history, security footage, DNA evidence, and testimony from a jail informant. The informant stated that Anderson admitted to the killing and had planned it weeks in advance. Prosecutors also introduced disturbing images found on Anderson’s phone.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 15, 2025. Anderson faces life in prison.
