Queens, NY — An 11-year-old girl was the victim of a violent assault in Forest Park, Queens, on the afternoon of Sunday, May 19, while biking with her father. According to police reports, the alleged attacker, 29-year-old Teddy Moussignac, dragged the child into a wooded area and sexually assaulted her before her father was able to intervene.

The incident occurred around 3:30 PM near the park’s Victory Field area. Authorities say the father heard his daughter’s screams and managed to locate her in time to stop further assault on the child. Moussignac attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended shortly afterward by responding NYPD officers.

Moussignac has been charged with multiple felonies, including kidnapping, sexual abuse, unlawful imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned on May 20 and is being held without bail.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and support services. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that she is receiving medical care and psychological support.

The NYPD is continuing its investigation. There is no indication at this time that the suspect knew the victim or her family. Authorities are also examining whether Moussignac may be connected to any similar incidents in the area.

Forest Park, a popular recreational area in Queens, has increased patrols in the days following the assault. Community leaders and local residents have called for enhanced safety measures and public awareness campaigns to protect children and families who use the park.

Moussignac’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 29. If convicted on all charges, he could face decades in prison.
